The election is over and now decisive action needs to occur on the development of a clean energy initiative for America. Numerous suggestions have been provided by high profile citizens, from Al Gore to T. Boone Pickens, and the new President-elect should appoint a team of talented individuals, with a cabinet level Secretary of Energy Transformation leading the charge, to address this problem.
There are numerous nay-sayers that believe Global Warming and oil dependency are non-issues. Anyone reading the data know this is not true.

Whether we can get it done in ten years or not is a moot point. The goal of ten years, if nothing else, is a clear indication of the urgency of this problem. In order to get something done in a timely manner, we have to be aggressive in setting priorities and timelines.
Establishing a new energy policy and aggressively pursuing change has to be a top priority. If we can spend $12 billion a month in Iraq, $750 billion + to bail out financial institutions, and numerous other billions in other areas, we can certainly find the money to restructure our energy grid.
